Hi, saw your comment on a pregnancy post. I realize you haven't been on here in almost a year but hopefully you'll see this. Was wondering if you ever decided to get pregnant and how it went. We're looking at trying. I'm 2 years out and want some success stories.

I noticed you asked for some "hints"; please let me know what you would like and I'll try to help. There are lots of threads, that use regularly, i.e. "What's On Your Menu", etc. Good luck!

My husband had his surgery about 2 weeks ago. He went back to work Monday. He is doing great and seems to be losing weight at a faster rate than me but the doctor told us that would be the case! He can already eat the same foods as me and drink more water and it has taken me 2 months to get there and him only 2 weeks. I hope you do well and have success! I am no expert so I am not sure what you could do to help the weight come off faster. It sounds like you are doing great. Maybe replace your fruit a few days a week with an extra protein of some sort.

I have a protein shake from smoothie king about 3-4 times a week. I get a small coffee mocha sugar free. It only has about 8 or 10 grams of protein but I like it the best. I do use a straw, it doesn't give me any discomfort from extra air or make me drink too fast. I eat little bitty salads with lunch meat or chicken or tuna with cheese and balsamic vinaigrette or light Cesar dressing. I eat chicken sometimes. Tuna salad sometimes. Eggs are the only things that give me a little discomfort, so I don't eat them much. I eat sausage patties some times. Refried beans, BBQ beans with brisket, peanuts, almonds, cashews. I eat every time I feel hungry, which is 4-5 times a day but I don't eat much at a time. I wait 30 mintues after drinking to eat and then 30 more minutes after eating to drink again. I make sure I get at least 40 something ounces of water daily. I don't really have a certain schedule but I do try to make sure I drink enough and eat enough. I think people who can take in a few more calories do better with weight loss, so that is what I try to do. When I eat chicken, I always dip it is something, it seems to help it go down easier.
I also have enjoyed looking at The world according to egg face website. Google it! She has some great recipes and ideas. I have made several of her tuna salad recipes. I hope this helps you a little bit. What kind of things are you eating?

Hi, I am doing great! I can eat more things now and I am getting all my water in. I was 292 before surgery and today I am 250.4, so I and lost 41.6 lbs since surgery. My highest weight was 304 before I started to 2 week liquid diet before surgery, so total weight loss is 53.6 lbs. I feel a lot better now and don't get winded like I used to. I feel like I have more energy. I haven't started working out or anything but I think I will start soon. I think I might try the couch to 5k challenge. I am happy with my weight loss up to now. I am just weighing once a week on Mondays because the numbers are bigger if I wait and that helps me. How are you doing?

Wondering what can i do to speed up my weight loss? When can i start walking ? Also can anyone share any meal plans.

M now taking low fat yoghurt blended in water, light lemonade, soups. Just dont know what else to have in the protein category. I dont want to sabotage things by tarting on juices.
