Still worried about getting the sleeve because of "problems" or side effects of the surgery!

Hey, Cincygirl! So happy for you now that you are sleeved! I know the first few days are a bit rough, but it gets better from there. Sip sip sip and walk walk walk. I didn't have too much pain from the abdominal gas, though. I also burped a LOT.

I lost 20 pounds before my surgery (on the 2 week pre-surgery diet) and then another 10 pounds the first week after surgery when I was on liquids. I started pureed foods and lost nothing for 2 weeks!! But they told me it is completely normal for this to happen as your body adjusts to a large loss is a short time. I have started to lose again, so I am happy about that. I just had my first month check in today and I had a 15 pound loss for the month since surgery. I am starting on soft foods tomorrow. That will be nice - I can eat real food that I don't have to whirr up in my blender! Each stage is a learning process. Take care of yourself and get plenty of rest. My energy level has gone through the roof. I am getting all kinds of things done around my house!

Hi!! Yes glad that part is over .. just got home yesterday! The trip back was rough but glad to be home!
