I had a hard time sleeping when I was fat, I have a hard time sleeping now that I'm not fat. After years of sleep medication, I'm trying behavioral sleep therapy that is helping. My doctor wants me to stay up late, and not be in bed for more than 5 or 6 hours. No TV or computer screens before bed. If I can't sleep, I need to get out of bed. Seems to be helping.
I used to sleep 10 hours a night and never felt rested. I woke up about every hour and had to pee. I had a sleep study at the urging of the doctor I work for, and turns out I had pretty severe sleep apnea. Got set up with a CPAP and now I sleep solidly through 7-8 hours, and feel awesome in the morning.
I have been having trouble sleeping since the surgery. I wear a CPAP and according to it I sleep and average of 7.5 hours per night. Since the surgery I am lucky to get 5 hours per night. I'm not napping during the day and I'm exercising regularly during the day.
