I did a liquid diet a month before sugery because my doc wanted me to lose 14 lbs during the holidays. It was hard but I did it. I also practiced taking smaller bites of foods (I used to shovel it in before) and chewing real good. If you can also try to get in all your water now and get used to the constant sipping, it will help in the long run. I had my food funerals in too, but not for much or for long. The more you do ahead of time, the better off you will be after surgery. Good luck and keep us posted!

get used to drinking 64ozs of liquid a day if you do sodas cut them out i stopped all sugar and started using stevia as a replacement so my tastes buds could change to the taste of sugar free i slowed down eating and they had me work on chewing my food more to get it to a mushy consistancy and i started focusing on protein at each meal and not junk food without protein cause your world will revolve around protein and where you are gonna get it from start using my fitness pal on the internet to log what you eat it helps keep track of the things you eat and exercise and you can set it to track protein fiber iron the things that are important after surgery look me up on there i am amt6298 i has helped me and kept me from grazing makes me accountable to what i eat good luck to you
