One of my favorite puréed meals was non fat refried beans with a little graded cheese and fat free sour cream. Yummmmm

I also would make mashed potatoes and add some protein powder. I'd also add some fat free sour cream.

You could try sweet potatoes also.

    Good luck.

I wasn't on pureed foods very long so I can't offer too much help there. I ended up eating mostly soups and farina and maybe some ricotta cheese.

I'm looking at my pureed diet recs right now and there's not much else there. Applesauce, pureed fruit, thin mashed potatoes, cottage cheese, low fat milk, greek style yogurt and hummus.

But regarding your try on eating chicken - it probably wasn't moist enough or you didn't chew it enough. I've been able to tolerate most everything I've tried to eat, but dry chicken breast is still a problem unless I take very small bites and chew the crap out of it. OTOH, I recently had a chicken breast at a restaurant and it was cooked perfectly - nice and moist - and I was able to eat it normally.
