Default 2 week Post Op Follow Up Appointment (food stuff) lol

OK so all in all since the surgery on 1/2/15 I'm down 32 pounds, ive healed up great. I can start the gym tomorrow and even lift weights, low strain. The doctor even said the liquid phase and puree phase goes for so long to reduce the chance of a leak. After the first week the inflammation is pretty much gone now its about not having a leak. The doc said as long as I still watch my amount and as long as I count calories and watch what I eat I can move on to soft foods(eg: tuna salad, hummus, avocado, soft vegetables, soup with soft noodles . As soon an I left I hit the supermarket. I bought babybel mini cheese.....ahhhhh normality. Loving life again lol

Great job so far on the weight loss and congrats on moving on to more food options. I'm 1 week out and still on liquids. (It's getting old real quick) I can't wait to chew something!

Update: had 8oz of New England Clam chowder for dinner and was a little rough. Feeling a little shitty. Tomorrow I'm gonna try tuna salad and a bit of avocado

Congratulations! You are losing FAST! I think it is great you are able to eat something that isn't liquid. Sorry about the clam chowder - I had to take it super easy and not eat too many new things back to back. Your stomach is sensitive so they say one new thing at a time. I know it is tough because you crave eating real food. Keep up the good work!

Lots of fat in clam chowder! I'd go easy on the avocado as well, even though it's a good fat...still lots of fat. Probably why you're not feeling great.

Watch all that creamy stuff. Your stomach will definitely let you know if its ready or not. There is food available that is called slider food. It goes down easy, but may not be the best for your weight loss journey. Get your protein and liquids. May not be the tastiest diet right now, but it is good for your sleeve, and great for weight loss. I am almost 4 months out and I still have problems getting enough liquid. Good luck and congrats on the great weight loss!!

Yea I won't make the clam chowder mistake again, but the avocado the nutrionist said go for since its a source of protein and good fats which you need

2 weeks and 3 days out...... Starting weight was 221. Pre-op lost 15 lbs. Post-op I've only lost 8 lbs. (Total 23lbs) Been having the spazzing issues. Seems to be getting better. I feel like I've stalled at loosing anything. I'm eating puréed foods and soft foods like Greek yogurt, soups.. Veg, cream of chicken, and seem to tolerate bananas. I drink 1% milk and crystal light. I try to get water in but not much of a water drinker.. Anyone else losing slow or is this normal?
