Any sleeve friendly spaghetti sauce recipes?
At 5 weeks out I made spaghetti and it was heaven because I had been craving it before hand also. I bought a veggetti from Walmart that basically turns zucchini into long spaghetti noodle like strands and boiled them for only about 2 minutes. For the sauce I just used my favorite ****** sauce since I'm not to concerned about the sugars right now because my caloric intake is to low anyway and I'm trying to increase it. But I used ground turkey sauteed with some Bell peppers and mushrooms finely chopped. In the end I think I prefer it to my pre-op spaghetti. It has a great garden fresh flavor to it and was easy to digest. I cooked a tiny bit of whole wheat thin spaghetti pasta on the side for my hubby and I'll admit the 2nd time I made it I did have 1 noodle of it, mainly just to test my sleeve and see if it would react to it, but it didn't even notice.
I've been a convert to spaghetti squash and I don't even miss noodles Oh this was pre sleeve I'm on pureed right now!
I'm on soft foods and crave it too. I made shelly's baked ricotta and added prego light smart traditional sauce on top after baking. Like eating the inside of a ravioli. Protein packed too. theworldaccordingtoeggface
I love ground turkey meatballs baked in spaghetti sauce loaded with veggies. I add peppers, carrots, onions, mushrooms to light ****** sauce and bake in the slow cooker all day long. Then I add some grated mozzarella on top of 4 meatballs for dinner.

Just found a new favorite. Morningstar pizza burger topped with 1/4 cup ricotta, 2 tbsp sauce, grated cheese on top.
I made a baked ricotta recipe today and it was DELISCIOUS!!! I cut the recipe I had in half and it fit perfectly in this little square crock I had. I ate 1/4 of the dish and it was perfect. This will totally be a staple for long long long time.
Today was my first day on mushy and this went down just right and filled me up. Only 94 calories and 8 grams of protein.
I made a pot of my sauce at four weeks...it's a 4th generation recipe......meat heavy, spicy...I bagged some and froze them...I did very well on it...everyone else got spaghetti and garlic bread Eggplant Parmesan did VERY well with my pouch also
