Halfway There!

Woo Hoo! For those of you who have been along with me on this journey, you may have noticed if you glanced at my weight ticker that I am now halfway to goal! For the newbies, my surgery date was December 6 last year, and I lost 12 pounds in my pre-op diet and all the rest since the surgery. I've had a great experience with my sleeve...no nausea, no vomiting, no gagging, no constipation that lasted longer than 1/2 day. Went from a size 22 in pants down to a 16, and from a 20 in tops down to a 14; and I have to keep buying new clothes. Yes, I've had to buy new underwear and new bras and new swimsuits (for my aqua aerobics class at the gym...I'm not a beach bunny yet, LOL!). But I'm proud to say that my big girl panties are not as big as they used to be, ha ha! Halfway there and still enjoying the journey! Thanks for riding along with me!

That is fantastic that you are half way. I can't wait to watch the kilos drop. I'm going in on Wednesday for mine and I'm excited but scared at the same time. Congratulations and keep up the great work :-)

WOW I can't wait for my journey to start down the yellow brick road...but time is flying by since I made my decision to do this in January 2011. I've been watching a couple of friends who made the trip to Mexico and got the sleeve. They are doing so well and they have a new outlook on life. One is getting Married in May and the other is going out, where both were homebodies for a long time. Me, I just need energy to chase my three boys...Keep up the good work.

Thanks everyone! B&K'sMamma, you flatter me...but thank you! And to all my friends who are also halfway or beyond, Congratulations to you too! I probably would have hit it a couple weeks earlier too, if I hadn't had three or four business trips in the last three months. Just last week I was in Las Vegas, never had a single minute to myself to work out, so I was worried. However, the walk from our hotel rooms to the convention center was 1/2 mile by itself, and I did that walk numerous times a day, so I actually lost 3 lbs. over the 6 days I was in Vegas! Well, there's something GOOD that can be said about Sin City, LOL!

Congratulations!!!

I'm 3 months post-op (surgery date - January 5th 2011) and also am half way. My initial weight was 257 and now i'm down to 196 pounds (61 pounds loss in 3 months).

As you, I had to start shopping for new cloth.

I exercize 3-4 times a week, play tennis and walk a lot.

I'm very happy for your results and wish you much continued success on your weight loss journey.
