Hello - My surgery is March 11th. I understand about being nervous - I am in the middle of the liquid phase prior to surgery. Its been tough - But if I tell myself if I can't be strong now - how will I be strong down the road? Best of Luck to You!

Hi I had my surgery on 03/03 - my consultant told me it was 1.5hrs "flying time" from me walking to theatre, surgery, recovery room and then back to my room.
Really it felt so quick i wondered if i'd actually had the surgery!
But it all went well - i'm on the clear liquid stage at the moment - which is actually lovely having different tastes in your mouth after 3 days of nothing.
I was really nervous on my walk to theatre - pinch the bit of skin between your thumb and first finger, its a pressure point and will help you calm down (at least thats what I told myself) your hospital team will be absolutely great, they've seen hundreds and hundreds of people feeling just like you and will do everything they can to reassure you and take care of you. Then everyone on here will be here for you once you get home.
