  1. Seriously? Sooo close!

7 wks out today. Stepped on the scale. 200.2. Seriously?! I'm sooo close to Onederland! I was hoping to be there by my 2 month surgerversary, so I'm ahead of schedule. But seeing the number be so close, but not quite there, was so frustrating!

    Next week, I guess.

Things are going well. Way better than expected. I have moments where I panic and think "this isn't going to work for me" because I feel like I can eat anything. But I don't eat just anything. I'm ...
  2. MMMM....eggs!

5 wks out tomorrow. I'm changing my weigh-in day to Monday to coincide with a fitness challenge that I'm doing with some online friends.

Down 3 lbs this week. I'm satisfied with that. It's certainly more than I would typically lose in a given week during my old days of dieting! Plus it's almost "that time" (sorry, TMI) and I'm sure that has something to do with it, as well. My body seems to think it needs to load up on salt and hold onto every bit of water it can when AF ...
  3. Weekly date with the scale

Deciding to weigh-in weekly instead of stepping on the scale every day (or multiple times per day when I didn't like what I saw the first time!) was SOOOOOO worth it.

Down 5 lbs this week! Woo Hoo!

It's so much nicer to see that and be able to celebrate rather than seeing the same number twice, or maybe 1/2 lb difference and be frustrated daily!
  4. Hurdle 1 complete- first business lunch post-sleeve

One of the things that really concerned me when I decided to get sleeved was that I do a LOT of lunches and dinners for work. I'm a sales manager and business lunches/dinners seem to go with the territory. I was so worried about how I'd manage them through this sleeve process. I've been able to avoid meals so far, but had a lunch today that I couldn't get out of.

Thankfully, the guy I was having lunch with asked me where I wanted to go. I'd done some research during the pre-op ...
  5. Random observations- 3 wks post op

I have a bunch of random thoughts I wanted to throw out to the universe, so I'm doing my first blog post. I'm now 3 wks post op. Feeling good, although "jogging" (Couch 2 5K, jog is kind of an overstatement. More like fast waddling ) still hurts my incision sites a bit. Not enough to stop, just enough to remind me that I'm still only 3 wks out from major surgery.

I'm really discovering what "they" mean when they say this surgery is just a tool for weight loss. ...
