  1. Two years ago June 24 2013 I changed my life for the better

    so surgery was 24 June 2013 at University of Tennessee. Great experience after two liquid diets. First one abandoned as I had to go home for a family emergency to England an cancel my first operation date. So how do I feel 2 years on.? I have no regrets. I was 247 pounds and 5'5" so pretty big. I was getting sicker and more unhealthy. I stayed at 162 pounds for a short time.. Didn't get any further down.     For all those who have written /posted on my page..in the last 4 months and have not heard back from me please forgive the silence. After going to Maine and yes I did get to see Three Moose.
    No my husband didn't get the job
    so we are still on our mountain in the more remote part of N.C.

  3. One year on from my gastric sleeve surgery

    If I could have seen ahead to this day a year on from my surgery I would not have worried so much. I would have been very excited. But a year ago I was scared, apprehensive and nervous. I had no clue just how much my life would change.
    It has been a good journey, but like any journey it has had it's moments. I still cannot eat in a hurry or eat fast. I cannot eat more than 4 ounces .. Which is a good thing. I can now eat anything at all ..so if you worrying about never eating things again....stop ...

    I have uploaded some photos of me last year as I started my gastric sleeve journey.
    A year on I feel amazing .. I don't want to be ultra skinny that was not my aim. My aim was to be healthy and to live my life. I am both.

  5. New body new hair :-)

    New body new hair! No longer black gothic looking I am now almost a platinum blonde..
    Thought it was time for a change, as my face is older and I am white at the roots .. I scared myself half to death walking past the mirror in the bathroom at night.. But I am getting used to my new look.
