  1. Onederland!

    Woo! I'm just shy of a year out and I'm FINALLY in onederland. Even though the scale said 198.9lbs it counts in my book! I'm so happy and my goal weight actually seems doable now. Just wanted to share with people who know and will know what the journey is like.

    My surgery was 08/13/12 so today is exactly 3 months. My weight loss is going well I think. I've lost 43 lbs since the surgery and 113 lbs since the start of this whole journey on 10/12/11. Yesterday I finally had my L4-5 microdiscectomy. So far the pain in my leg has gone away completely which means I can actually walk/stand for longer than a minute at a time. Now I'm just controlling the incision/back pain with pain meds and muscle relaxers the surgeon prescribed and hoping for a speedy recovery. ...
  3. I'm finally seeing a difference.

    I made myself wait until I hit the 100 lb loss mark before I bought another new pair of jeans even though all of my other jeans were definitely too big. I finally hit it on thursday so saturday I hit up walmart in one of their motorized wheelchairs along with my mom and grabbed a 24 & a 22, both with "secret hold in your fat tummy" panels. Lemme just say trying on jeans is not that fun with a herniated disc, but I needed pants so I did it as gently as possible. The 24 fit pretty good ...
