  1. Gone swimming :)

After 2 yrs of living too far away from the pool to get in and move around I'm swimming 3 days a week. Some days it's just gentle movement, some I can actually swim a lap or two, depends on my CFIDS and myofascial pain.
Since March 20th, the spring solstice, I've been concentrating on a year of getting healthier. Lots and lots of journaling to see what works and doesn't food wise, emotionally and physically. If I lose some weight, terrific, I'll take it...but if my body has decided that 1200 ...
  2. Vitamins for life

    Hi folks,
Sorry haven't been around much. Been very ill and am working when I have the energy on packing to move closer to my kids and a warm pool I can exercise in.
The last month I haven't been able to even grocery shop I've been so tired. Some of it is my CFIDS but I knew there was something more and for the life of me, my pcp, my endo and my ND (naturopath) we couldn't figure it out.
I had numbness in my extremities, utter intolerance to heat or cold, hardly sleeping, weird ...
  3. I'm back...missed you

Hi folks, don't know if any of the old crew is here, but am hoping to be here more. I was awarded SSDI and that takes a lot of the stress off...so going to get back to life as it were even if it is mostly from bed. I've been feeling ashamed because I had gained weight back, but maybe this part of the journey is important to share as well... I may not be one of the super success stories, but Im back anyway, hoping to support as well as I can.
  4. Weight watchers - back on track

    Hi
I'm slowly feeling a bit more healed from my gastritis. I'm avoiding any food with high nickel until we figure this thing out, testing happening in about a month for nickel and titanium allergy; and also following the fodmap diet.

But on my way to this more peaceful place I regained some weight, couldn't eat protein hardly at all but dang it ice cream went down fine...sigh. So even though I ate about 1400 cal a day, good old glucose intolerance meant I gained. No excuses ...
  5. Chronic gastritis, virus or nickel allergy/staples

    Hello folks,
    Checking in.
Weight is stable but for now that's ok. I hurt too much to care about losing weight, just fine with not gaining.
I've been having stomach pain since last Aug, common thought was that it was my gallbladder, which stopped functioning.
Had my gallbladder out earlier this year and the pain didn't stop so I had an EGD and I have chronic gastritis. Yep, my poor sleeve is all inflamed.
Docs have thrown every test out there at it and can't find ...
