Default One Thing Leads To Another...

I've just passed my six month mark and I'm so grateful that I got my sleeve. It has made such a difference in my life. I do seem to be a slow loser, but the weight is coming off consistently in it's own time so I'm happy. Before surgery, my knees and feet hurt ALL the time and I thought losing weight would really help. Well, here it is six months down the road and on Monday I head to the hospital for a total knee replacement. Not looking forward to another surgery this year, but I understand it is needed to relieve the extreme pain I've been going through even with the weight loss. My doctor is so happy about the weight I have lost and knowing that he knows I will continue to lose gives me so much hope for the future. Now the only question is why didn't I have this surgery when the weather was nicer so I could at least spend some time on the porch while I'm recuperating. Bet I won't be back to work in a week like I was with my sleeve!! Merry Christmas to all here on the forums. Love reading every day.

I really look forward to hearing about your operation. I will certainly have to have one or both knees replaced, and probably sooner than later. So anything you want to share about your surgery, the procedure, your recovery would be much appreciated.

And of course, I wish you the very best surgery and recovery possible.

P.S. A few years ago, we even bought a NuStep (seated elliptical) exercise machine so I can prep for and recover from knee replacement surgery one day. I bet you'll be doing a lot of rehab on that, too.
