I want to pay tribute to my husband who will never see this but I know....

My husband was very leery of me getting sleeved yet he stood by me the whole way. He went to the nutrition classes with me and was there during and after the surgery. He walked with me in the hallways and held my hair while I puked. The only negative thing he has ever said is if this surgery makes me sick from malnutrition he will be very pissed off. He obviously heard a lot about malaborption related to bypass surgery. He has been my rock, my support, my cheerleader and my scolder if I don't eat or drink enough. He loves to see me happy when my clothes are too big and smiles proudly when someone says how great I look. He tells people that I have lost 10-15 lbs more than I actually have. When I say something to him about that he says "Well, you look like you have lost that much". I have been very blessed to have such a person in my life. I hope everyone of you have someone special in your life that makes you feel like you have made the right decision and that this journey is worth it. Just had to share....

Tia, what a wonderful thank you. You are so fortunate.

I, too, have a loving, supportive husband like yours who is the biggest blessing of my life. We all deserve such love, but I know everyone doesn't receive it. Every day, all day, I thank the powers that be for sending him into my life.

My husband has been amazing through this whole process! He is so happy for me and relieved that I am so much healthier now. We even went out dancing last Saturday which would not have been possible before the surgery. He is always pointing out that other guys check me out now which is funny too. He has never been jealous and I appreciate that because I do get more attention than I used to but he takes it as a compliment. Here is a picture of the two of us at the party last Saturday. He is good looking too and I know I am lucky!

It's just so nice to have a great supporter. My husband is doing the same for me and it makes a huge difference.

That was great to read. I, too, have a hubby who is completely supportive of my journey and has been with me every step of the way. I do not know what I did to deserve such a wonderful man, but I am so glad that I have him by my side.
