Antibiotics

I wondered if anyone has had to have any antibiotics since they've had the operation. I have a nasty abscess and it is just not healing. I wondered if the tablets I'm taking aren't absorbing into my system properly.
I feel so ill and just want to get better - any thoughts?

Now that you mention it, I did take some Amoxicillin a few weeks ago for an infected gland. It took a handful of days before they had a positive effect, which is not typical for me.
