I have a questions about how much muscles an average person has. Apparently, I weigh 306 pounds right now and have about 136 pounds of muscles in my body.... Not sure if that is a lot or not. Does anyone know? I am 6'00" tall.

I just had my body/fat ratio stuff done at my surgeon's office. They do that so you don't get caught up in the scale.
My total weight was 209lbs, 104 pounds muscle and 105 pounds fat. They than do the body fat testing in 6months and 12 months.
The surgeon's goal is for me to keep myself and 104 pounds muscle or gain muscle. So if I lose 50lbs, but 10lbs is muscle weight than they don't count that as a positive loss. They would rather have me lose 40lbs and retain my muscle weight or lose only 30 pounds but gain 10 pounds of muscle. Muscle burns more calories and losing too much muscle can slow down your metabolism. I think the test is great. It keeps me from caring about the scale as much. I am just determined to not lose any muscle weight now.
I am 5.4 tall and my normal body type is a mesomorph. The muscle weight includes all your vital organs and everything so check your printout carefully. I actually have 38 pounds that are just muscle. I thought I had 104lbs as well until the nurse broke it down for me.
At 360 lbs I was 137 lbs fat, 223 lbs lean (which was everything else, not just muscle). I have a big frame, and I think I had/have more muscle muscle mass than average, but not an insane amount.
I have always been active though. I have played american football, i have done track and field, done a lot of weightlifting,... Since I am in college, I am going a lot of places. Usually on foot. I think once I recover, I will go back into weight lifting. Maybe that helps for future skin problems.
