two months out and my cholesterol has risen and i have a chronic vitamin D shortage

I had my cholesterol checked about 3 weeks out after surgery and mine had went down from around 210 to 177. My triglycerides had dropped dramatically as well.

As for Vitamin D, I haven't had it checked lately but I already take a supplement for that. Have you talked to your physician about what could cause this?

Some thing are just hereditary. Does this run in your family? I have high blood pressure a hereditary condition and my doctor said that I may or may not stop taking medication for it.

I have had a Vitamin D deficiency as well so I have started to suppliment.
