Cholesterol comes to you primarily from animal-based products: meat, eggs, cheese, milk, yogurt etc. I suggest, as someone else did here, that you track what you are eating on MFP
pr SP. If your diet is like many I have seen posted in this forum (primarily animal-based proteins), it could certainly be causing the bad cholesterol to run high. Using one of the food tracking websites will help you monitor how much cholesterol you eat and help you reduce it. Substitute vegan sources of protein (beans, soy, nuts, soy milk, and meat alternatives like Tofurkey Italian sausage - yum) instea,d of meat, eggs and dairy, to lower your cholesterol. Sometimes high cholesterol can be genetic, but I would look at what you are eating first. It is always better to fix a problem by eating better than to take a pill. You will feel better also.
