    Default How much protein do you get in each day?

    For those of you who are mostly eating foods now instead of protein shakes.....how many protein grams are you getting in each day?

    How man calories are you getting in? Carbs?

    I have been using myfitnesspal.com to track my food. It has really really been helpful for me to see exactly what I am eating/drinking.

    Just curious where I'm at compared to others?

    I've been using that same thing to keep track of my day. I don't have any food restrictions - I've been averaging about 800-850 calories and have been hitting 50-60 grams of protein a day. Usually 6 to 8 cups of fluids

    At almsot 3 months out I can't get all my protein yet with solid foods I still have 1 shake a day and sometimes I add a low carb protein bar as a snack.
    I am getting about 60 -70 grams of protein a day. Carbs I try to maintain them as low as possible but I been working out, 5 times a week so I try to keep them under 40 g a day,I need good carbs to keep my energy going and for calories around 800 a day.

    On a good day i'll get about 60gs of protein a day, on a bad day about 25-30. The good day will be when i take a protein shot to bump it up.

    I did use the fitnesstracker site for several weeks but i stopped just before the new year. I can roughly guess now what calories i'm eating from when i used it. Some days i'll get about 400-500 cals and others i'll get about 800.

    I don't count carbs and never have. The only things i won't eat are sweet stuff and crisps but i will eat whatever food types i want. Eating carbs hasn't done me any harm as i'm steadily losing weight, carbs 'n' all.

    I average 50 to 60 grams of protein a day. That is with 2 or 3 protein drinks. I have decided it is worth the extra money to buy the ones I like, so I drink premixed Zoic or Atkins. I did get the samples of Nectar this week and will be trying the fruit flavors. How much are you getting in? Looks like we were sleeved about the same time!
    Reason: protein - not carbs!

    I just calculated it today using fitness pal. I usually eat around 500 to 800 cal and 60g protein.

    Morinng - Protein shake with fruit blended in
    Morning snake - 2oz lean protein
    Lunch - 2oz meat with 2oz vegs
    After snake - 2oz lean protein
    Dinner - 2oz meat with 2oz vegs

    Water in between and at night. And I try to walk 15 to 20 mins every day.

    Since I've been tracking for the last week, I'm getting about 60 - 80 protein grams, 800 - 1,000 calories, 60 carbs, 50 fat grams. I had to really start paying attention to my protein especially, due to the fact I was completely run down and could hardly walk. My nutritionist discussed this with me & said I really needed to bump up my protein intake, so I listened to her and worked very hard on improving that. It has helped me so much. I am quite a bit stronger now, getting nearer to where I need to be strength-wise

    I need to talk with her again to make sure I'm not getting too many calories, carbs, and fat now. Heaven knows I don't want to mess up my weight loss!

    I am soooo sick of supplements, shakes, etc....so I'm pretty much eating foods only now, with the exception of 1 atkins shake a day.

    According to Dr. Alveraze's book you should be getting 60-90 g of protein, 64 oz of liquid, 600-800 but no more than 900-1000 cals and less then 40g of carbs, less then 30g of fat. I just started eating "food" and that's what I try to stick to, I write everything that I eat down along with the stats (cals etc). And when I buy food I eye ball the contents on the side of the box/bag. It never seems to amaze me how many carbs and sugars are in food like pasta.

    I am amazed, I was feeling lousy also and DR. E. put me on IV fluids for 1 afternoon and increased my diet so I could actually eat more protein (chicken, fish, pork) That has helped tremendously. I am still only allowed 2oz. 3 times a day! Ihave to see him again Wednesday-hopefully I will get advanced on the diet again. Blessings!

    I work on getting 60-100 grams of protein a day. I am not dropping as fast as others, but I ONLY keep track of protein and my liquid intake. I could be doing this all wrong, but I am so done with diets and writing stuff down. Could just be a phase I am in also---today I just eat 1/2 cup of whatever I want for meals, using proteins for 3/4 of it, and veg and whatever for the rest. My counted protein comes from UNJURY, added to whatever and jerky when I need a snack, pre mixed protein drink from Costco, protein bars from Costco. I also do mixed nuts and soybeans and pumpkin seeds. I try to pick high protein first, and I usually don't have a lot of room for anything else. Blessings- Connie

    I track EVERYTHING that goes in my mouth. I use the My Fitness Pal app on my phone. I also use the Fooducate at to see if there is a better alternative for that food. I get between 600 & 900 calories a day with 60-75 gms of protein. My Weightloss is slower but I'm ok with it because I need the protein. I try to keep my carbs under 40 gms.

    I usually add protein powder to my low carb oatmeal in the morning so I start my day off with a high amount of protein in case my day gets busy.
