What is causing this after I eat?? Am I eating too fast? I don't like this feeling, I have to sit for about 30 minutes for it to stop. What is causing this??????
You need to see your doctor. Are you on medication? It could be a sudden drop in blood pressure, are you diabetic, have you checked your blood sugar?
Does it happen with all foods, or has it just started? I hope that you get this sorted out very soon. cheers
Happens to me anytime I eat something with sugar - more than a tiny bit. For the first few months it also happened anytime I ate too much fat, or ate too fast, period. Like the calories/sugar/fat all hit the system at the same time and our bodies overreact and try to use them all at once or store them in an autonomic response from being used to storing fat so easily. It has gotten better, but then I'm also not eating much sugar.
Wish I could say the same for menopausal hot flashes... which are back after 9 months, darn it!
I always thought this was dumping, that's what it felt like to me, as if all the components in the food were flooding my system at the same time... until someone mentioned dumping was gastrointestinal...
but according to this, it could be dumping after all. I know we don't get dumping like Roux-en-Y or Gastric Bypass folks but it looks like we get a milder version??

That sounds like what my nutrionist explained would happen when/if I ate too much or ate too fast. Remember the 30/30 rule.....chew each bite 30 times and take 30 minutes to eat. It's only happened to me twice, once I'd eaten one bite (literally) too much salad and the other time I drank too much water at one time.
